Supporting Jackson / Get Involved Annual GivingWe invite you to become a member of Friends of Jackson. With your generous support, we will continue to meet the growing addiction-related needs of the Siouxland community. You will become part of a special group of people who will help others build or rebuild their lives through the programs and services offered by Jackson Recovery Centers. Jackson's mission is to provide addiction treatment for all Siouxlanders in need, regardless of their ability to pay. Jackson has a strong tradition of assisting those who seek treatment services but are unable to pay the full cost. From stigma to shame to misinformation, individuals and families have many obstacles to accessing treatment. Lack of financial resources shouldn't be one of them.
"Over half of the patients we see are children or low income adults. The payments we receive barely cover the cost of services—and it provides nothing for capital improvements, staff training and development, community outreach, and program expansion." — Dr. David Paulsrud, Board Member
You can help by becoming a member of Friends. As you select your level of membership, remember you are becoming part of a very special group making a profound difference in the lives of individuals, families and the community. Each year, Jackson Recovery gives over $2 million dollars in charity care to patients unable to pay for services. Your gift will help underwrite these costs. Giving level examples:
To honor our founders, Dr. Bill and Marienne Jackson, Jackson Recovery Centers has established a giving club in their name. Members of this club donate $1,000 annually to the Friends of Jackson Annual Fund. As a part of this club, members will receive special recognition and communications from Jackson. Jackson also offers you the opportunity to memorialize or honor someone special in your life through our Memorial and Tribute Program. Memorial and Tribute Gifts to the Friends of Jackson Annual Fund are a thoughtful and appropriate way to honor a loved one in sympathy or as a living memorial. When you make a donation as a memorial or tribute, we will send a beautiful card notifying the family or honoree of your generosity, keeping the amount confidential. Please make check payable to Jackson Recovery Centers, 800 5th Street, Sioux City, IA 51101. For further information phone (712) 234-2300.
