Outpatient Therapist III & IV

Essential Job Functions:

  • Establish therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
  • Facilitate individual, group and family therapy as assigned.
  • Conduct ongoing assessment, treatment planning and discharge of patients.
  • Coordinate services with referral sources and other community resources.
  • Develop and maintain the confidential patient record.
  • Advocate for patients and families, and promote destigmatization of the disease of addiction.
  • Maintain professional, personal, and emotional balance through continuous self-examination, supervision and feedback.
  • Act as a resource and model of professional growth for other staff.
  • Assist in program development and implementation.
  • Assume leadership role in clinical meetings and staffings.
  • Participate in community meetings and organizations.

Educational/Experience Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Human Services Field with 3-5 years of experience in the field.
  • Good written and verbal communications skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Bi-lingual skills (preferred). 

Additional Educational/Experience Requirements (Therapist IV):

  • Independent licensure

Conditions For Continued Employment:

  • Maintain CPI certification.
  • Attainment of IBC Certification or Iowa Licensure within 15 months.
  • Attend required Training/In-services.
  • Attendance at Adult/Child Abuse training.
  • Maintain PSO privileges and required CEU’s.
  • Remain open to clinical supervision and opportunities for growth.
  • Meet Jackson attendance guidelines.

Objective Outcomes of Job:

  • Productivity: Maintain at least 50% personal productivity on a monthly basis.
  • Documentation: Maintain 100% compliance with departmental standards.
  • Clinical Service: Average group size of 8.
  • Patient Outcome: WMA % of at least 60%
  • Attendance: Meet HR Policy guidelines. 
  • Financial Accountability: 100% of patients participate in payment plan.

  • Length of Stay: Maintain an average length of stay determined for each level of care.

Addiction Technician

Salary Grade: 1, Non-exempt
Reports to: Program Director
Shifts: Full and Part Time, 2pm-12pm,12am- 8am
Location: Sioux City - Adolescent Center   
Job Group: 2510-08

Essential Job Functions:

  • Establish working relationships with patients and families.
  • Facilitate Recovery groups as assigned.
  • Monitor and direct activities in Learning Laboratory when in use.
  • Monitor and direct patient milieu at all times.
  • Monitor and document patient compliance with unit rules.
  • Document each patient’s participation in treatment activities.
  • Monitor and document appropriate passing of medications.
  • Transport patients as needed in company vehicles.
  • Report out of the ordinary situations to the supervisor or on-call manager.
  • Advocate for patients and families and promote destigmatization of the disease of addiction.
  • Maintain professional, personal, and emotional balance through continuous self-examination, supervision and feedback.
  • Be flexible to changes in scheduling with adequate notice.
  • Be available to take on-call on a rotation schedule. 

Educational/Experience Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalency.
  • Experience in the addiction field (preferred).
  • Good written and verbal communications skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Bi-lingual skills (preferred).

  • Maintain Mandatory Child Abuse/ Dependent Abuse Training.
  • Attend required Trainings.
  • Remain open to clinical supervision and opportunities for growth.

  • Maintain valid driver’s license, auto insurance and acceptable driving record.

  • Document group sessions daily.
  • Document patient’s participation in services daily.
  • Document significant progress or out of the ordinary events daily.
  • Follow through with treatment team decisions on the patient milieu daily.
  • Follow through with unit rules 100% of the time.
