Program Description: Our vision is to provide support, education, and therapeutic interventions to adolescents and their families, thereby offering a safer, healthier ‘path for life’. We offer a wide range of evidenced-based therapeutic programs that meet the needs of teens who have just begun alcohol/drug use, are experiencing significant problems due to alcohol/drug use, or are experiencing family distress.

Question & Answers:
1. Q: How do I know which program is right for my child?
A: Although you may get some idea, based on the information above, about which program may fit best for your child, we have a team of clinical experts that will help you make that determination. Prior to any treatment/intervention service, a clinical assessment will be completed and from that, recommendations will be made.
2. Q: How long does each program last?
A: Except for the ‘Teen Intervene’ program, the length of stay will be based on the needs of your child and how they are able to progress in services. The therapist will work with you and your child to help determine this from the very start of therapy services.
3. Q: How much will it cost?
A: We have many funding options available for families. We accept and will contact insurance companies and seek pre-certification for our services. We accept Iowa Medicaid (Title-19). We also offer services on a sliding-fee-scale, which is based on family income and may result in a significant reduction in fees. The most important thing for you to know, as a parent/guardian, is that we see it as our job to find the most cost-effective way for your child to enter our program and will find a way to make it work for you.
4. Q: Is it safe? Confidential?
A: Our Youth and Family Center has recently re-located to a separate area in our facility. This has allowed us a separate entrance, restrooms, and separation from adult services. All information shared with our clinical staff is completely confidential and we realize the importance of this in helping you feel safe and comfortable while in our facility. |
